Jonathan & Gaby's Story

If you’ve ever heard of the saying “third times’ the charm”, then what you are about to read is something that can either be described as fate, destiny, or soulmates.

Jonathan and Gaby actually have met 3 times, in the past 7 years, however, two of those times were just very brief times, but the third time was different. They met again in Bali because both their parents were invited to a wedding. Arriving in Bali, there were many chances for Gaby and Jonathan to interact and have fun. This closed the distance between the two, and both started to realize that they are very similar to each other.

Fast forward a little, and the wedding in Bali was a success and they all came back to Surabaya, where Gaby and Jonathan decided to hang out some more. But eventually, Jonathan has to leave and go back to the US in a couple of days. With only a few days left with Gaby, Jonathan knew in his heart that if he left without confessing to her his feelings, he would regret it for the rest of his life.

Another fast forward, and they have started their arduous, long distance relationship, with time being their enemy, however prevailing, to call each other twice per day.

A few months have gone by, and Jonathan decided to bring up the topic of marriage to Gaby. After another discussion, they have concluded that both have fallen deep enough to agree on marrying each other.

Every relationship and experience with each other, the ups and downs, are unique to everyone. So, we leave you all who have read our summarized love story with this advice: Love is built upon, not chanced upon. However, if you are blessed by God, and find that right one, make sure to still build upon that love, with love and patience.
